I have plenty of misgivings about why X is a bad place. And I believe strongly & fiercely in them and can point to changes showing what's gotten worse.

But man, it's just such a huge risk being in a network where you have to trust the moderation trust & safety team as the sole defenders of the network health.

Open Society requires a further level of openness than trusting the owners. And Ex's self-mantle of Ex is fitting and true above all other reasons because X has gone to war with the researchers & academics. Its decided that it wants to be the only one who has any hand at portraying & showing what happens on the network.
