This is the second time in as many days that I see someone implying that Next.js is somehow difficult to deploy outside of Vercel. Vercel has an excellent offering for Next.js apps but you can easily deploy in Netlify, AWS Amplify, Cloudflare Pages, Digital Ocean, Render, Railway, etc, etc. in fact, I prefer deploying outside of Vercel since I’d rather not deal with the cold-starts for server code. My take is that most large corps aren’t hosting next.js on Vercel and are instead setting up and managing their own pipelines/environments. .

(I'm on the Next team) Here's how you can self-host Next on a $4 VPS: https://x.com/leeerob/status/1843796169173995544
