As a European, I strongly prefer slow and decentralized and the principle of subsidiarity over quick and easy to corrupt, as current history demonstrates. To me, it is a tradeoff well worth it.
Many seem not to be familiar with that fundamental core principle of the European Union:

True, but it doesn't need to be dismantled much to start making young US workers less desirable.
But the last time that Europe acted fast and coordinated was when? Napoleon's Hundred Days, perhaps?
